I Went fishing with my Son in law and two of my grandchildren on Saturday the 29th January.
It was a very big tide with little water at the ramp, low tide was at 6am, so we decide to start a little later and got to the ramp at 7.30 am. We had to wait 30 minutes in the que to launch the boat, so not a good start to the day!
However, the weather was brilliant with a light breeze, but still very hot. We had decided that we would drive the boat for 50 minutes towards Colville and drop the pick. There was nothing on the sounder, but we deployed the burley, boiled the jug and had a coffee and we were getting bites.
I had decided that as I was the only one that could fillet the fish that we would only take anything over 40cm.
