Presentation free for Industry Members to attend
Thrips are a major issue and continue to wreak havoc and cause production losses to many greenhouse crops. I am pleased to announce that Dr Gunjan Gera, Production and R&D Team Leader from Zonda Beneficials has agreed to provide a presentation via Zoom on Wednesday the 7th of October. Introduction and presentation will begin at 9.00 am followed by question time wrapping up by approximately 9.45 am.
There are currently ongoing efforts being carried out by different organisations and product groups. This is a great opportunity to keep the dialogue moving forward, discussing current and future IPM options available for supressing different species of thrips.
Cucumber crops and strawberry crops are impacted heavily by thrips, so I have asked Dr Gera to focus on these two cultivars for this workshop.
The power point presentation by Dr Gera will cover:
- Beneficial insects available including suggested application rates
- Integrated pest managment options
- Possible future control techniques
The Zoom Workshop is free to attend for NZ greenhouse growers and anyone residing in NZ with a vested interest associated with the vegetable or flower industry. There is a 100-person limit. There will be a chat box available to type in your questions.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Details with the Zoom meeting link will then be sent to you.
