XI International Symposium on Irrigation of Horticultural Crops

XI International Symposium on Irrigation of Horticultural Crops
‘Acting on Water for Climate Change, Environment & Energy

Protected Cropping Participant,

You are cordially invited to the XI International Symposium on Irrigation of Horticultural Crops, (held under the auspices of the International Society of Horticultural Science), to be held at the Tatura SmartFarm (Tatura Victoria Australia), from 18 to 23 January 2026, that will have clear benefits for those involved in Protected Cropping in terms of irrigation management, sensors, systems, technologies, strategies, agri-voltaic, including integration into AI systems, control and management.

The symposium theme ‘Acting on Water for Climate Change, Environment & Energy’ is as relevant for Protected Cropping systems, as legacy and open-field cropping systems, whereby water is the life-blood for all of horticulture, and how we use it, what impacts on the natural environment, and the energy consumed in moving water, will be of keen interest for all delegates, whatever their production systems, crops, or technologies.

I look forward to welcoming you to this important international event at the Tatura SmartFarm, Victoria, in January 2026.

Early Bird rates close soon on 31st August 2025, and for those interested in submitting an oral or poster presentation abstract, these close 15th September 2025

How to reduce heat from your structures during the warmer months. High temperatures can dramatically affect a strawberry plant’s ability to set fruit and maintain fruit size. The longer you can reduce the negative impact of heat stress, the longer you can sustain consistent production, quality, and shelf life.
