Powerplants News – NutriJet Upgrade at Kaizen Operations
Boosting Berry Production with Scalable Fertigation Technology

Justin Hundle, proud owner of Kaizen Operations in Coffs Harbour, is taking his raspberry and blackberry production to the next level with the installation of a Priva NutriJet fertigation system featuring Compact CC software expansion.

Having already partnered with Powerplants for a Priva NutriFit with Compact CC and Groscales, Justin returned to us when it was time to expand capacity. One of the biggest advantages of Powerplants’ systems is scalability — growers don’t need to replace their entire setup as their business grows. Instead, we build on the existing system, adding more capacity, advanced automation, and smarter control.

The Upgrade

Working closely with Justin, Powerplants supplied and commissioned the new Priva NutriJet with Compact CC expansion, enabling precise fertigation control and seamless integration into existing irrigation strategies.

The upgrade delivers:
✔ Greater fertigation capacity to support an expanding berry farm
✔ Advanced automation fully integrated with irrigation control
✔ Scalable precision for raspberries and blackberries — maintaining quality while boosting yield

The Project Team

The successful project came together through strong collaboration:
🔹 Supply and commissioning of the Priva NutriJet with Compact CC expansion by Powerplants
🔹 Irrigation installation by Mick Tamini from Advanced Pumping and Irrigation
🔹 Commissioning and on-site support from Paul Drop and Esther Bruce at Powerplants

What the Grower Says

“I’m extremely happy with the new NutriJet – I’d rate it an 11/10. The system is more advanced, has greater fertigating capacity, and the commissioning support from Paul and Esther was excellent. Esther’s attitude and work were simply amazing.
The flexibility Powerplants provided around the commercial terms was also a big help during our offseason.”

– Justin Hundle, Kaizen Operations
