Please donate to the G2G Cancer Society Fundraiser if you can
So far, we are delighted to have raised over $ 2,700 for the Cancer Society from the Grower2Grower Golf Day

The Grower2Grower Golf Day was an opportunity to raise money for the Cancer Society. This charity is close to my heart as I lost my best friend my father Josef Vogrincic, over 13 years ago from lung cancer. Since then, we have lost another family member to ovarian cancer. There have been many members of the growing community that have also lost their battle with cancer

The loss of fellow tomato grower and friend Jeff van Rijen at the incredibly early age of 33, in 2015, was a huge shock. I have always wanted to be able to contribute in some way and the Grower2Grower Golf Day raffle was our opportunity to contribute. So far, we have raised over $2700 from the raffle, we are keeping the link up for another two weeks if anyone from the growing community would like to donate it would be greatly appreciated. Please go to  https://www.youcanforcancer.org.nz/grower2growergolffundraiser if you wish to donate.

The raffle would not have been possible without all the wonderful donations of prizes from the growing community and supporting businesses. I am humbled by all the contributions

Bringing the Sector Together: Covered Cropping NZ Launches
Greater collaboration, stronger representation, and better use of levy funding sit behind the new joint approach from Tomatoes New Zealand and Vegetables New Zealand Incorporated. There has been a call, for several years, that TNZ and VNZI should work together more closely as there are so many similarities amongst the greenhouse sector, including the growers themselves.
