Protected Cropping Australia, 2023 Conference 17 – 20 July
Registrations are open for Australia’s premier protected cropping event

Are you interested in protected cropping? Join growers, researchers, allied trade, key industry stakeholders and like-minded individuals at Protected Cropping Australia’s Conference – PCA2023. The conference will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 17-20 July.

The conference theme for PCA2023 is “Growing our Future – People Plant Profits.” The program includes a range of inspiring and thought-provoking speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors from Australia and abroad will share their knowledge, research, and innovations to all delegates.

Protected Cropping is one of the fastest growing horticultural sectors in Australia and PCA have an enviable reputation of running great events filled with knowledge building and networking opportunities.

PCA is the peak industry body representing commercial hydroponic, greenhouse and indoor growers in Australia and has a wide international following.

A key feature of PCA2023 is working with our partners, the allied trade and equipment suppliers to encourage greater grower attendance through subsidising 150 free grower passes. This will allow entry to our conference and popular exhibition trade show, including tailored skills training for growers to meet the needs of the various sectors PCA represent.

The Protected Cropping industry encompasses many sectors of horticulture including, but not limited to fruits, vegetables, berries, leafy greens, herbs, cut flowers, nursery, medicinal cannabis, aquaponics, vertical farms and controlled environmental agriculture industries.

An innovative and fresh program of speakers, networking events, poster presentations, discussion panels, grower workshops (including a full day Plant Empowerment Workshop) and an additional third farm tour will feature in addition to the regular conference program, exhibition trade show, conference dinner and the ever-popular farm tours.

PCA is continuing to support our students and providing additional support to the protected cropping next generation cohort to attend and make new connections at this exciting, not to be missed event.

To register visit the PCA2023 Conference website. Early bird registration closes 19 May. If you are interested in sponsoring or exhibiting, please contact Lydia Lazar.

On behalf of PCA2023 Committee and the PCA Board, I am delighted to invite you to join us at PCA2023 Conference. We look forward to welcoming you in Brisbane in July.

I hope to see you at PCA2023

Emily Rigby

PCA2023 Conference Chair

Strawberry New Zealand Conference Review
How to reduce heat from your structures during the warmer months. High temperatures can dramatically affect a strawberry plant’s ability to set fruit and maintain fruit size. The longer you can reduce the negative impact of heat stress, the longer you can sustain consistent production, quality, and shelf life.
