Agritech Unleashed Heads to Waikato – Accelerating Tech Adoption in Dairy Heartland

Agritech Unleashed Heads to Waikato – Accelerating Tech Adoption in Dairy Heartland
AgriTech New Zealand is bringing its flagship event, Agritech Unleashed, to Waikato this August, highlighting the region’s strength in dairy, research, and innovation.

The event will be held on Thursday, 21 August at the Gallagher Building, Mystery Creek in Hamilton, and is set to be a high-impact day of connection, insight, and action.

Following the successful launch of Agritech Unleashed in Hawke’s Bay this past May, the Waikato event will focus on the role of agritech in enhancing the productivity and sustainability of New Zealand’s primary industries. While the day will have a strong dairy flavour, the themes are broad-reaching – with technology, data, and innovation at the centre of every conversation.

AgriTech New Zealand CEO Brendan O’Connell says the Waikato region represents a powerful combination of world-class farming and technological leadership.

“Waikato is one of the beating hearts of New Zealand agriculture. It’s where hands-on farm knowledge meets cutting-edge innovation, and that’s exactly the energy we want to harness at Agritech Unleashed,” says O’Connell.

The one-day event will bring together innovators, farmers, processors, exporters, researchers, and investors to share experiences, challenges and opportunities across the agritech ecosystem. Keynote panels will feature leaders in the dairy and horticulture space, while breakout workshops will provide attendees the opportunity to contribute their own insight and explore solutions to industry challenges.

“This isn’t a sit-and-listen kind of event,” says O’Connell. “We’ve designed the day to be practical and interactive. It’s about building relationships, sharing what’s working, and identifying how we can speed up the adoption of tech that really makes a difference.”

Agritech Unleashed: Waikato aligns with AgriTechNZ’s mission to connect the ecosystem and drive collective progress. The event is open to anyone with an interest in the future of food and fibre – from grassroots producers to global exporters.

Tickets are now available via the AgriTech New Zealand website, with early registration encouraged due to limited capacity.
