Happy Holiday Season from Grower2Grower for 2025

Happy Holiday Season from Grower2Grower for 2025
Thank you to all Grower2Grower readers, contributors, advertisers and industry supporters

As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank all Grower2Grower readers, contributors, advertisers and industry supporters for your continued engagement and trust over the past year. Grower2Grower exists to serve New Zealand’s protected-cropping sector, and it is only through your support, feedback and willingness to share knowledge that the platform continues to grow and remain relevant.

This year has not been an easy one for greenhouse growers. Energy uncertainty, rising costs, climate variability, labour pressure and biosecurity risks have all combined to make decision-making more complex than ever. Throughout 2025, Grower2Grower has aimed to provide practical, experience-based information to help growers navigate these challenges — from energy transition and greenhouse design, through to crop management, technology, pollination and biosecurity.

One of the key achievements of Grower2Grower in 2025 has been the depth and honesty of the conversations shared across the platform. Articles exploring New Zealand’s evolving energy landscape and its implications for tomatoes, cucumbers, capsicums and strawberries sparked strong engagement and constructive discussion. Growers, advisers and suppliers contributed real-world insights that helped move the conversation beyond theory and into practical planning.

We are also proud of the growing diversity of content published this year. In 2025, Grower2Grower featured a broader mix of technical articles, grower case studies, opinion pieces and project updates, ensuring the platform reflected the full range of challenges and opportunities facing modern protected cropping. Increased participation from advisers, designers and technology providers strengthened the connection between on-farm realities and industry innovation.

Another milestone has been the continued growth of the Grower2Grower audience. More growers are turning to the platform as a trusted source of New Zealand–specific greenhouse information, reinforcing the importance of independent, locally relevant content in an increasingly complex production environment. The ongoing support of advertisers has played a vital role in making this possible, and we thank them for their commitment to the industry.

As we head into the holiday season, we recognise that many growers will be balancing a well-earned break with the ongoing demands of crops that never stop. We hope the coming weeks provide an opportunity to recharge, reflect and spend time with family, friends and teams who make this industry what it is.

As we look ahead to 2026, we want Grower2Grower to be your first stop for practical, locally relevant greenhouse information — not just a newsletter you read, but a community you help shape. We invite you to share your experiences, insights and questions with us: whether it’s a breakthrough on energy efficiency, a crop management lesson learned, or an innovative idea you’re trialling in your greenhouse. Your stories make this platform stronger and more useful for every grower.

Let’s keep challenging assumptions, learning together, and pushing the industry forward — one article, one conversation, and one innovation at a time. Here’s to a productive and resilient 2026 — we can’t wait to grow with you.

Thank you again for being part of the Grower2Grower community. We wish you a safe, successful and restful holiday season, and we look forward to working alongside you in 2026.
