Signify introduces 4-channel Philips GreenPower LED toplighting force for dynamic crop steering and improved business results
Toplighting force (TLF) range expanded to further unlock lighting intelligence potential in greenhouses

Eindhoven, The Netherlands – Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, expands its horticulture portfolio with new 4-channel LED lights of the Philips GreenPower toplighting force (TLF). These advanced lights enable growers to further unlock lighting intelligence, offering outstanding control over crop development, energy use, and operational flexibility in greenhouses. The new TLF lights offer 4-channel exact light control—red, blue, white, and far-red—when connected to our Philips GrowWise control. This enables growers to exactly steer the photon flux or power use of the lights, create highly customized, dynamic light recipes that can adapt in real time to factors like sunlight levels, energy market fluctuations, and crop stage to meet the growers needs.

4-Channel color control in 800W and 1040W for every greenhouse situation

Signify first introduced the TLF 2.1 at the GreenTech in 2024. The new 4-channel products released today are available in 800W and 1040W versions, enriching the TLF 2 and 3-channel product family to meet a wider range of grower needs. With a full portfolio with light outputs up to 5150 μmol/s and an efficacy up to 4.3 μmol/J at 50% of its power, or up to 3.9 μmol/J at 100% light output, the TLF family is the perfect choice for crops that need a lot of efficient light and precision steering.

Growers cultivating crops such as cucumbers, chrysanthemums, strawberries, and young plants will benefit from the ability to apply specific light treatments—such as end-of-day far-red lighting—and switch to more efficient spectrums when needed.

Uniformity, flexibility, and efficiency

Featuring patented Quadro Beam optics, the TLF delivers exceptional light uniformity—even with shorter distances between lights and the crop canopy. This enables optimal results with fewer lights, reducing upfront installation costs while maintaining high light efficiency. The IP66-rated design with a flat glass cover allows for easy cleaning and maintenance in high-humidity environments.

When paired with the GrowWise control, the 4-channel lights open the door to lighting intelligence—integrated control that aligns light output with crop needs and business objectives. Wireless or coded-mains control options further enhance flexibility, allowing growers to define zones and make post-installation adjustments without additional wiring.

The future of horticultural lighting starts now

Signify is committed to making lighting intelligence accessible. Growers can now benefit from knowledge-based algorithms, thus freeing up time, improving outcomes, and reducing costs. This innovation underscores Signify’s role as a reliable, collaborative, and forward-thinking leader in horticultural lighting—delivering progressive solutions that evolve with the industry’s needs.
