Signify wins HortiContact Innovation Award for Philips intelligent horticulture lighting solutions
“We are incredibly proud of this recognition”

Eindhoven, the Netherlands – Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, has won the 2026 HortiContact Innovation Award for its Philips intelligent horticulture lighting solutions combining multi-channel Philips LEDs, a control system, and smart algorithms to optimize lighting conditions. These solutions help growers optimize lighting strategies while reducing operational complexity, increasing yields, and lowering costs.

Signify’s innovative solution uses data and intelligent algorithms to actively support growers in their daily decision-making. It automatically adapts lighting based on crop growth stages, energy prices, and operational conditions. This transforms lighting from a fixed input into a strategic lever for performance.

“We are incredibly proud of this recognition,” said Gonneke Gros, Global Sales Leader at Philips Horticulture LED Solutions. “Intelligent lighting truly helps take complexity away from growers. By using data and smart algorithms, we can optimize lighting in real time, enabling growers to achieve higher yields and better quality while saving energy use and operational costs.”

Building on decades of research into the impact of light on crop cultivation, Signify’s solutions combine efficient multi-channel LED lighting, intuitive controls, and knowledge-based applications. This integrated approach helps growers unlock the full potential of light while maintaining control, simplicity, and reliability in their operations.

The HortiContact Innovation Award honors products and concepts that help move the horticulture sector forward. The winner is selected by industry voting before, during and after the HortiContact tradeshow.
