How do you apply for NZU’s & are you eligible?

I learnt last week that only a fraction of protected crop growers have applied for and are receiving NZU’s units. These are free allocations to help offset your ETS costs. I heard from one grower that they gave up trying as the application process was too difficult.

Below are links to sites I strongly recommend grower’s access. The first will take you to the EPA website and the second link will take you to the registration page. You are required to register as a new user. Once you have set up your own account you can add ‘authorised persons’ or other users to the account.

It is important for growers/businesses that are eligible to set up their own account.
