Phormium launches Noctis Thermo that offers energy savings of 72%.
Phormium, the Belgian thermal screen manufacturer, is launching an innovative, fully aluminized screen: Noctis Thermo. The screen offers a superior energy saving of 72%.

Jesse Verbeke (Application Manager): “By combining the unique weaving technology with the use of the in-house developed MEP™ process, we have not only succeeded in developing a screen with a superior energy saving, but we also have been able to keep the cost price significantly lower than the traditional aluminized screens.” (MEP™ = Micro Encapsulated Particles)

Noctis Thermo will be mainly used in 3 application domains: as assimilation screen in lit (LED) crops, as night screen in unlit crops and as a top screen in variable screen systems. In those applications, it is the extra energy saving that makes the difference and helps the grower to grow more sustainably and cost-efficiently.

Peter Ollevier (Sales & Marketing Director): “There is no doubt that we still have to make major steps in our sector in terms of sustainability. Reducing energy consumption is an important part of this. With Noctis Thermo we offer a screen that can make a difference and at the same time remains affordable. We are therefore convinced that with this innovation we are making an important contribution to the horticulture of the future.”
