Two practical opportunities for covered crop growers to learn from a spray expert are coming up.

A Lighter Touch, TomatoesNZ and Vegetables NZ are co-hosting educational spray workshops this month focusing on helping covered crop growers achieve effective spray coverage.

Led by spraying expert, David Manktelow of Applied Research Technologies, the workshops focus on best practice, achieving effective spray coverage, and the calibration of spray equipment.

Whether you use a robotic sprayer or a hand sprayer, whether you are spraying chemicals or biologicals, whether you are following an integrated pest management approach or calendar spraying, by attending you will take away tips and tricks for getting more from your spraying.

The Waikato workshop in Tuakau is on September 3 from 12.45pm to 4pm, and the Canterbury workshop in Kaiapoi on September 24 from 12.45pm to 4pm.

Attendees will gain credits towards their renewal of their Growsafe certificate. Lunch will be provided and there is no cost to attend the workshops.
